Boiler down?
Three things to check before you call
Low pressure and lockouts are common and you can often clear them yourself in a few minutes. If none of these works, ring us and we will talk you through what's next.
Check the pressure gauge
On the front of most combi boilers. If the needle is below 1 bar, the boiler will lock out until it's topped up.
Press reset once
Hold the reset button for five seconds. If it locks out again, leave it and note any code on the display.
Check the thermostat and timer
Make sure the heating is set to on and the thermostat is set above room temperature. Dead batteries are common.
Smell gas? If you smell gas, don't use switches or naked flames, open the windows and call the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999.
